BLOOM TOGETHER

BLOOM TOGETHER is an initiative I started to support other small businesses. A few months ago whilst sitting on my couch with a glass (okay, a bottle) of wine. I was agonizing over the loss of contract after contract, watching my hard earned proposals go up in flames. Wallowing for just the appropriate amount of time, I reminded myself I’m not alone in this. So many small business owners all over the world who’ve been in business FAR longer than me, are going through the same thing.

It propelled me to start researching other artists / businesses who had some sort of floral component. I found something they’re making / creating that I could relate with personally / professionally and I contacted them to ask if I could promote them via my platforms. Before COVID the Hafsa and Co. model was entirely focused on brands and businesses, and using our flowers to help them make their mark in their industries. When our businesses shut down, so did my service offerings. I had to pivot… and quickly.

This initiative and “influencer marketing” are completely disparate, so I want to take a moment explain. There are folks all over the world with much larger platforms than my own who align themselves with brands and products and get paid to promote them. I do not get paid for this. This is a campaign I started from a place of, “I want to do more”. For some shops I’ve purchased the items I’m sharing, and for others they’ve been in a position to donate the item that drew me to them. I purposely focused on smaller shops who have more than affordable items and sit in a space where they aren’t too large they wouldn’t benefit from this initiative.

BLOOM TOGETHER allows me to remain connected to businesses, just in a different way. Together we create this web of support and I’m able to facilitate this awareness for so many WONDERFUL people around the country who are creating amazing things. THANK YOU to all of the artists who responded to my emails and chose to be a part of this campaign. I look forward to staying connected to you all through this platform we now share. I’ve included a list of artists currently involved in #BloomTogether at the end of this blog post. I will be posting them all to my website soon, some are already posted here. I continue to connect with new artists every day, if you know of someone that I can help feature please email me at hello@hafsaandco.com.

I wasn’t really sure where this was going when I started doing this, but I feel more motivated than ever to continue to bring awareness to all the incredibly talented, inspiring entrepreneurs around the country who are working their tails off to get by. To my amazing entrepreneurs out there (friends and strangers) don’t lose hope, remember we’re in this TOGETHER.
